U17 of SE Freising thrown out at Oberbayerische: "Failed to exploit our chances"

For the U17s of SE Freising, the Upper Bavarian indoor championship is the end of the line.

Nevertheless, the Kleimann squad held up well in Altenerding.

Altenerding/Freising – Even if the SE Freising footballers had certainly hoped for a little more at the Upper Bavarian indoor championship for U17 juniors in Altenerding and the first glance at the results was disillusioning, the Kleimann protégés by no means disappointed.

You could see that you can definitely keep up in the concert of the big ones, but the necessary luck was lacking throughout.

SE Freising does not use its chances and is always punished for it

In the opening match against the state league team SV Planegg-Krailling, however, there was nothing to gain.

First of all, it was thanks to the strong Freising goalkeeper Matea Kostic that the zero remained.

But after the first goal, the resistance eased and Planegg secured a clear 3-0 win.

After a 2-0 defeat in the second game against the district league team SpVgg Altenerding, the SEF was already out of the running in the fight for places in the semi-finals.

The Domstädter started courageously and were unlucky when Sabbona Kder hit the post.

However, the hosts did better and took the lead with a counterattack.

As a result, Freising tried to equalize, but despite being overweight, they were unable to create clear scoring opportunities.

SE Freising: Goalkeeper Kostic is strong - and rewarded with a clean sheet

Despite the bad starting position, the Freisinger acted committed in the third game against TSV Schongau.

Coach Julius Kleimann's team pushed for the opening goal, but missed a few good chances.

This should take revenge again, because Schongau used the first chance to make it 1-0.

But the SEF kept the pressure on and rewarded themselves with the equalizer from Sabbona Kder.

But again luck was not fortunate, because the district classist once again successfully completed one of his few attacks.

When the Freising goalkeeper Kostic tried to attack in the final phase and the SEF lost the ball, a TSV shot landed at the last second in the orphaned Freising goal, so that the preliminary round was sealed.

In the last match against SC Fürstenfeldbruck, the SEF recorded at least a partial success because the defense was secure and played to zero.

Despite everything, coach Julius Kleimann was not dissatisfied, but struggled with the way the tournament went.

"In terms of football, I was quite happy with my boys and we weren't the worse team in many games.

But today we clearly failed in converting our chances and we also made too many individual mistakes, which teams of this quality simply exploit mercilessly.”

In the final, FC Deisenhofen beat DJK Ingolstadt 2-0, with both finalists representing the district of Oberbayern on January 29 at the Bavarian final in Deggendorf.
