For those who have not been on earth in the last day, get a brief summary: it all started when the newly appointed Minister of Communications, Shlomo Karai, presented his position against the broadcasting channels last night in an interview with the program "Meet the Press" and even claimed that he would cut the public broadcasting budget in half.
For dessert, Karai called Ofira Assig and Eyal Berkowitz's current affairs program an "intellectual disgrace."
Even earlier, he added that: "When my plan is completed, an intellectual disgrace like Opira and Berkovich's plan will not be able to pass quietly, it will hurt your pocket."
"Instead of putting NIS 400 million in the corporation and all the rest they can't do - we will leverage it. My vision is that there is no public broadcasting in Israel."
In order to reinforce his words, Mr. Karai added a tweet in which he clarified: "Enough! I intend to remove the partitions between the public and the media.

In my vision - reporters will serve the public." And if that's not enough, in the same post, the Honorable Minister called Ofira and Berkowitz's program: "an intellectual disgrace that does not deserve to be broadcast."

In a way that quite surprised us, this time Eyal Berkovich preferred to remain silent, but Ofira, like Ofira, did not remain obliging and wrote to Mr. Karai online: "I wish the people of Israel a good week. We will meet at the same place and at the same time!".
