Football premiere of TSV Zorneding: "Short, crisp, without long breaks"

Markus Welte (in the red and black jersey) didn't score in the 2-0 opening win against SpVgg Altenerding in this situation.
The home success of his TSV Zorneding at the tournament premiere should have been an adequate consolation for Welte.

1. Zornedinger Hallencup: Organizer TSV Zorneding triumphs at football tournament premiere with five wins from five games.
- It was a smooth march for the footballers of TSV Zorneding at the premiere of the men's indoor cup in front of their home crowd on Saturday evening.
Only the opening game against the district classists SpVgg Altenerding (2:0) was still a little tedious.
"It was a difficult game, but then we started rolling," summarized Zorneding's coach Sascha Bergmann.
The TSV had invited five teams to its own sports hall to compete in a group of six in the format of everyone against everyone on the floor.
In the second game, the Zornedingers met district league rivals SC Baldham-Vaterstetten, who started with a reserve selection.
The Bergmann protégés had the upper hand with 3:0, then the district classist FC Ebersberg didn't stand a chance against the home side and drew the short straw with 1:4 goals.
We played our games at a high level.

This should remain the only goal for the Zornedinger throughout the tournament.
TSV also scored unchallenged successes against SC Kirchasch (2:0) and the district class team of SG Markt Schwaben (4:0).
“We played our games at a high level.
We stood securely at the back and kept finding creative solutions going forward,” said a happy Sascha Bergmann, who was surprisingly able to summon his predecessor on the TSV coaching bench, Ralph Pöpperling, between the posts.
"Because of injuries there was a need for the goalkeeper position and he was kind enough to help out with us." Thanks to Pöpperling's quality, TSV Zorneding ultimately prevailed as the sovereign tournament winner at their own premiere event with five wins from five games.
FC Ebersberg, SG Markt Schwaben and SC Baldham-Vaterstetten occupy places four to six
“The entire team convinced us, each individual with their individual strengths.
Nobody got hurt and everyone had fun.
It was a very fair tournament,” Bergmann drew a positive overall conclusion.
The other district teams from Ebersberg, Markt Schwaben and Baldham-Vaterstetten took places four to six.
"Unfortunately, we were often unable to take our chances, which is why we didn't get a better placement," said Markt Schwaben's coach Michael Hieber and also found words of praise for the organizer: "It was a top-organized tournament: short, crisp and without long breaks.
Zorneding definitely deserved to win.
You could see that they regularly train indoors.” The premiere of the Men's Indoor Cup in Zorneding was a complete success, especially for the victorious hosts.
