A whole country is watching how a super talent is currently maturing into a coming world star: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia enchants SSC Naples and Italy.

Nepal - You've long compared him to Diego Armando Maradona.

He's one of the reasons Naples is dreaming of their first Scudetto in 33 years.

And it is possible that his name will soon be mentioned in the same breath as the greats of his generation.

We are talking about Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Outside of Georgia, some football fans may struggle with pronunciation.

Possibly it was quickly renamed “Kvaradona” in Naples for the sake of simplicity.

But the fact is: You have to remember this player!

The impressive 5: 1 of the Società Sportiva Calcio over Juventus Turin underlined this fact once again, as reported by tz.de.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

Born: February 12, 2001 (Age: 21 years old), Tbilisi, Georgia

left winger

Contract with SSC Napoli until: 06/30/2027

Market value: 60 million euros

Future world star?

Super talent enchants Italy: FC Bayern once had him in their sights

Kvaratskhelia has experienced a rapid rise and has only been playing in Italy since last summer.

However, it was already clear during his time at Rubin Kazan: It will be one!

That's also why his advisor at the time said a year and a half ago: "I'm convinced that he will end up at Real Madrid or Bayern." Bayern are said to have actually targeted the Georgian, now 21 years old, in 2021.

But it wasn't concrete.

At least until today.

Kvaratskhelia left his homeland in spring 2019, initially on loan from Lokomotiv Moscow.

With the capitals, he managed to win the cup directly.

In the summer, the left winger then moved to Russia and from then on developed into a top performer for Rubin Kazan.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia: From Georgia via Russia and Georgia to Italy

The farewell followed in March 2022: Vladimir Putin had decided to attack Ukraine - football professionals were then allowed to leave the Russian league immediately after a FIFA decision.

Kvaratskhelia initially returned to Georgia, scoring eight goals and providing two assists in 11 games at Dinamo Batumi.

It was already clear in April that he would play for SSC Napoli in the future.

The Italians secured the services of the offensive jewel for ten million euros.

And this investment should pay off.

Kvaratskhelia has now played 20 games for the Azzurri (as of January 15, 2023).

Nine goals and 13 assists speak for themselves.

Just like the most recent result and the table: 5-1 over Juventus Turin, leaders with a nine-point lead.

The super talent, who has probably outgrown this status and is on the way to becoming a world star of the future, shone once again against the old lady: one goal, three assists.

The speed dribbler and flank god has increased its market value (according to

transfermarkt.de

) from 15 to 60 million euros within six months.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia makes Napoli dream of their first title since 1990

With Kvaratskhelia and his congenial offensive partner Victor Osimhen (formerly Wolfsburg), Naples is currently well on the way to becoming Italian champions.

It would be the third title in the club's history.

Of course, number one and two came with the legendary Diego Armando Maradona in 1986/87 and 1989/90.

The Argentine is still revered in Italy's third largest city.

And anyone who could even begin to follow in his footsteps, compared to him, of course.

This also applies to “Kvaradona”, whose contract – which is already valid until 2027 – is to be extended and significantly upgraded in the near future.

If the two-footed offensive man continues to work his magic, it won't be long before clubs like Real Madrid or FC Bayern Munich are back on the mat.

Exactly as the advisor once prophesied.

In Germany you will hear from Kvaratskhelia again by February 21st at the latest.

Then he will be a guest in the Champions League round of 16 with Napoli at Eintracht Frankfurt.
