Disappointing: Tamir Blatt and Yuval Sussman are in doubt for the game against Maccabi Tel Aviv Israel today

Elba Berlin's coach said before the game at the Menorah Mitvatim Hall on Thursday: "Tamir Blatt is suffering from a hand injury and 90 percent of Yashak, Yuval Sussman is also doubtful for the match"

Maccabi Tel Aviv's match against Alba Berlin on Thursday was supposed to be an exciting event for Israeli basketball.

Tamir Blatt and Yuval Sussman, who have been playing together in the German team for the second season, were supposed to get on the floor at the Menorah Mivathim Hall and meet the Yellows.

But today, coach Israel Gonzalez told the German media: "Tamir Blatt is suffering from a hand injury and 90 percent of Yashak, Yuval Sussman is also in doubt for the match."

The German forward Johannes Yemann has also been dealing with knee problems for some time now but will almost certainly play in Israel: "We will have to see when we can give him a break to recover," said Gonzalez.

Gabriel Procida, who was recently absent with a broken nose, is now training with a mask and may return to play against Maccabi.

For the Yellows, this is pretty good news because Alba will be missing two of its significant players, but it is definitely a miss for the Israeli pair and for the local crowd who were happy to see blue-and-white players in the Euroleague.

As a reminder, yesterday (Monday) Maccabi Tel Aviv easily beat Bnei Herzliya 89:105 at the Menorah Mivathim Hall and took the fourth and last ticket to the semifinals of the State Cup.
