Although tonight's game (between Monday and Tuesday) between Washington and Golden State was held in the capital, but in many moments it was hard to ignore that the game became almost home for the champion, thanks to one man: Steph Curry.
The Warriors star scored 41 points against Danny Abedia and his friends and won the applause of the crowd at the Capital One Arena time after time.
In the end, even his coach Steve Kerr really could not remain indifferent to another great performance by his player.
"Steph is the modern Michael Jordan," complimented Kerr.
"In my days at the Chicago Bulls I would see these things. Back then, half the team had red jerseys with the number 23 on them, and now the blue-yellow jerseys with the number 30. It's just bigger than the game."
The coach continued: "Everywhere we play, Steph is encouraged. Can't wait to see him. It's easy to connect with him, we've never seen a player like this before, there are a lot of people his size, but no one does what he does. Inspirational."
