Australian Open: the rain still invites itself and disrupts the programming, the Blues on hold

For the second consecutive day, the rain largely disrupted the program.

Last year's winner and runner-up Rafael Nadal and Daniil Medvedev are due to play their second rounds in the afternoon and evening respectively on the roofed Rod Laver and Margaret Courts.

Not before 3:30 p.m. (3:30 a.m.): these were the latest forecasts for the start of the games on the open courts of Melbourne Park, again drowned in rain.

Only the matches scheduled on the courts with a roof (Rod Laver, Margaret Court, John Cain) were thus able to take place normally.

Already the day before, a heat wave followed by heavy rain had prevented the smooth running of the outdoor games.

And several games have been postponed to Wednesday.

Eight French people are supposed to play on Wednesday... weather permitting,

because none are scheduled on a court with a roof.

Enzo Couacaud must play his first round match against Colombian Hugo Dellien.

The winner will face Novak Djokovic on Thursday.

Richard Gasquet and Ugo Humbert, must continue their match interrupted the day before (1-2), just like Adrian Mannarino against John Isner (6-7, 4-3), and Laurent Lokoli against Michael Mmoh (6-4, 6-2 , 6-7, 4-6, 1-3).

Three other Blues must play their second round: Clara Burel against Barbora Krejcikova, Constant Lestienne against Cameron Norrie and Corentin Moutet against Francisco Cerundolo.
