Gladbach should agree with Omlin – does summer go to Bayern?

Goalkeeper Yann Sommer's move from Borussia Mönchengladbach to record champions Bayern Munich is getting closer.

According to "Blick" information, Gladbach has reached an agreement with potential summer successor Jonas Omlin, 29.

The Swiss should receive a contract until 2027.

However, Gladbach still has to negotiate with the French first division club HSC Montpellier.

Eight to ten million euros are under discussion as a transfer fee for Omlin.

Those responsible at Borussia also expect this sum for the summer.

The 34-year-old's contract expires at the end of the season, and he could then leave the club on a free transfer.

The Munich are looking for a replacement for the injured national goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

Niederlechner goes to Hertha

Bundesliga club Hertha BSC strengthened their attack shortly before the end of the winter break.

Attacker Florian Niederlechner is moving from FC Augsburg to Berlin with immediate effect. The 32-year-old has signed a contract until 2025. Neither club made any statements about a possible transfer.

According to media reports, it should be in the lower six-digit range.

"We're glad that we were able to implement the change planned for the summer at short notice during this transfer period," said Hertha's sporting director Fredi Bobic.

Niederlechner had already been filmed on Tuesday at the Berlin office.

The Upper Bavarian has played in Augsburg since 2019 and scored 23 goals in 89 league games.

He has scored four times in 14 Bundesliga games this season.

Augsburg gets additions four and five

While Niederlechner is leaving the club, FC Augsburg are already announcing their number four and five winter signings.

Augsburg have signed offensive players Kelvin Yeboah and Irvin Cardona.

Yeboah, nephew of former Bundesliga striker Anthony Yeboah, is on loan from CFC Genoa until the end of the season.

In addition, FCA secured a purchase option for the 22-year-old.

Cardona, 25, comes from Stade Brest and signs until 2027.

"Kelvin Yeboah is a young, flexible and, above all, very fast attacker who will expand our options on the offensive again," said sporting director Stefan Reuter.

He called Cardona a “versatile offensive player who offers Enrico Maassen further options in many positions on the offensive”.
