Washington Wizards about to change its face?

According to a report by Shams Charania and "The Athletic", Washington's management has already started talks with several teams about the possibility of making a trade that would include Roy Hachimura, the Japanese scorer who has been playing for four seasons in the club.

Hachimura, who is set to become a free agent in July, has drawn interest from "several teams in the West looking for scorers," the report said, suggesting the team may make more changes.

"The Wizards have also received inquiries from teams interested in trading Kyle Kuzma," it said, "but releasing Hachimura would close the cap at the forward position on the team, giving the club a better financial option to sign Kuzma to a new long-term contract and extend Kristaps Porzingis' contract to A new contract in the summer."

Will this affect Danny Avdia?

It is not clear who will replace Hachimura, but it is possible that "releasing the cork" in the forward position may give the Israeli more minutes.

The 24-year-old Hachimura was selected by Washington 9th overall in the 2019 draft after playing at Gonzaga College.

This season in 28 games he averages 12.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
