The Minister of Culture and Sports Miki Zohar decided today (Thursday) to keep Eric Pinto in his position as the chairman of the National Council for Sports. Pinto has held the position since 2020 and for about 40 years held a wide variety of positions at Bank Hapoalim.

Also, Pinto was and still is very active in the field of sports, he is a certified basketball coach and was awarded the title of coach of the decade in the Paralympic category by the Ministry of Culture and Sports as part of the 60th independence celebrations for the State of Israel, after he led the wheelchair basketball team to 6th place in the Paralympic Games in Beijing 2008.
