BVB shows interest in Rome's Zaniolo
Borussia Dortmund is apparently interested in signing forward Nicolo Zaniolo from AS Roma, who is willing to emigrate.
As the Italian Gazzetta dello Sport reports, BVB wants to get the 23-year-old in winter, Roma put the value of Zaniolo at 40 million euros.
Dortmund will have to deal with competition from the Premier League.
West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City are also said to have signaled interest in the Italy international.
Roma originally wanted to extend Zaniolo's contract signed in 2019 but the player wants to gain experience abroad, they say.
Zaniolo, who comes from Tuscany, was considered a great hope for the Romans after his move from Inter Milan, but so far he has not been able to live up to expectations due to several injuries.
He scored 24 goals in 128 games for the Giallorossi.
FC Augsburg interested in Breithaupt and Schallenberg
According to media reports, FC Augsburg has two candidates for succession in the event of a premature departure from Ecuador's World Cup participant Carlos Gruezo (27).
As "Augsburger Allgemeine" and "Kicker" reported, Tim Breithaupt (20) from the second division Karlsruher SC should be at the top of the list of the first division.
An alternative for defensive midfield should be Ron Schallenberg (24) from SC Paderborn.
The transfer fee is three to four million euros.
There was initially no official information about these personal details.
Gruezo had not traveled to the training camp in Spain with FC Augsburg.
The Augsburg regular, whose contract runs until the summer of 2024, is said to want to return to the United States.
He came from FC Dallas in 2019.
The Augsburgers have in winter with Kelvin Yeboah (22 / CFC Genoa), Irvin Cardona (25 / Stade Brest), Arne Engels (19 / Club NXT), Dion Beljo (20 / NK Osijek) and David Colina (22 / Hajduk Split) got a total of five new ones.
