Three reports consulted by L'Equipe compile damning testimonies on the management within GIP France 2023. The former director

Claude Atcher, the former director of the Public Interest Group (GIP) France 2023 for the organization of the World Cup, is the subject of a preliminary investigation for moral harassment carried out by the Paris prosecutor's office on November 29 and led by the Brigade for the repression of delinquency against the person (BRDP), reveals L'Equipe this Friday.

The sports daily publishes damning testimonies from the various reports that led to his dismissal for gross negligence on October 10 after a precautionary layoff on August 29.

The labor inspection report points to the fact that Atcher refused to receive his control agents on June 22, a fact described as “extremely rare” by the latter.

It is specified that the former DG of France 2023 has commissioned François Guéant, the legal director of the GIP (son of the former secretary general of President Sarkozy) to replace him.

And that it hampered the interview between Sophie Coste, the HRD, and the labor inspectors.

“We call him Poutine, Robespierre or Caligula”

In addition to the report drafted by the Labor Inspectorate and that carried out simultaneously by the ethics committee at the request of the Ministry of Sports, a 121-page document from the consulting firm ADDEO, commissioned to investigate within the GIP, compiles around a hundred of testimonies relating to the deadly climate which served as the working atmosphere within France 2023.

The statements of the employees are damning for Atcher.

It is reported of an "extreme verticality, he is megalomaniac".

“He imposes terror,” says another testimony.

“Physically, he imposes, he dominates.

Verbally, he shouts, he yells, he humiliates in public in front of employees in open space and creates a latent atmosphere of violence, ”it is reported.

“He has a threatening behavior, he leaves the doubt that it can come to the physical”.

“Between the employees, he is called Poutine, Robespierre or Caligula”, says another testimony.

Several statements recount authentic suffering: “He burned me morally, he destroyed me”;

“People are crying in the toilets”.

Or: “I had a ball in my stomach every day, he called me and shouted at me.

He calls at any time.

He called me on Sunday evening for the next day.

It was to humiliate me”.
