For the sixth time in a row, the "Israel Premier Tech" bicycle team will participate in the prestigious "Giro de Italia" race, which will be held starting on May 6 and ending on May 28.
The organizers of the Giro announced today (Thursday) that they are giving the team from Israel a free summons, as the organizers of the French Tour de France also did a few weeks ago.
With this, the Israeli team led by Sylvan Adams guarantees its participation in the most important races in the world in 2023 as well.
"The Giro is forever etched as the great breakthrough of the team and as a historic sporting event where the people of Israel celebrated this amazing race," said team owner Sylvan Adams, "in three unforgettable days from Jerusalem to Eilat that put us on the map in a big way."
Adams thanked the Giro organizers for the invitation and clarified that the team will field "a strong and competitive lineup for the 2023 Giro to compete for victories."
The team has achieved two victories in the Giro in recent years (Alex Davest in 2020 and Dan Martin in 2021) and its rider (Alessandro de Marchi) even held the famous pink leader's jersey.
