Paralympic skier Sheina Vespi will start her participation in the world championships in Spain this Sunday, in the most important competition of the year.
The 21-year-old Vespi, who last year became the first Israeli athlete to take part in the Winter Games, participated two weeks ago in the preparatory competition in Colorado, United States, where she left with two gold medals, as she will want to continue the momentum.

Erez told Israel Hayom, on the eve of the competition: "I was really looking forward to the World Championship and I'm very excited about it. This is my goal competition for 2023 and I worked hard this year to prepare for it."

"However, my sport is unpredictable and changes happen every moment due to the weather and field conditions. I am going to participate in all the events, but of all of them I am very much looking forward to SG, it is an opportunity once every two years and I feel that I am more ready than ever and am waiting to prove myself and show the my ability"
As mentioned, thanks to the recent achievements, Vespi will participate for the first time in the World Championship in all three divisions, including the Paralympics, the Super Giant Slalom (22.1) and in addition the Giant Slalom (25.1) and the Slalom (27.1).
As I recall, Vespi was three years old when she got into a car accident and had to lose her left leg.
A bus that deviated from its route hit the family's car at Kadar Junction.
Due to the force of the blow, the vehicle overturned several times, and Sheina was fatally injured.
