Soccer national player Youssoufa Moukoko stays with Borussia Dortmund.

The 18-year-old top talent has extended his contract, which expires at the end of the season, by three years until 2026.

This was announced by BVB.

»It's no secret that I feel good at BVB.

I played in the youth teams, took my first steps in professional football here and now I'm ready to take the next step in my development together with the club," said Moukoko.

He feels the trust of the coaching staff "and I have an environment here in which I can develop perfectly."

The goalscorer, who emerged from the BVB youth team, has made his breakthrough in the professional squad this season with twelve goals (six goals, six assists).

A total of eleven Bundesliga goals are already on Moukoko's account.

He is the youngest player to ever reach the ten-goal mark in the Bundesliga.

In Qatar he was part of the squad for the German national team.

At the tournament he came to a brief assignment.

»Youssoufa is an exceptional player who we trained ourselves and in whom we still see huge development potential.

So I'm glad that we were able to convince Youssoufa before the start of the second half of the season, which is so important for us, that he has the best prospects at BVB and that his path is far from over here," said BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl.

According to media reports, Moukoko should receive up to six million euros per season, as well as a bonus of over ten million euros.

Most recently, sports director Kehl Moukoko had given an ultimatum for a decision by the game on Sunday (3:30 p.m. / TV: Dazn) against FC Augsburg.

English Premier League clubs and FC Barcelona are said to have expressed interest in Moukoko.
