Manchester City - Wolves 0:3

Trailing 2:0 at halftime against Tottenham in the previous round, in England they have already started preparing the headlines for Arsenal's impending championship.

A wonderful second half in the victory of Riyad Mahrez changed the plans, and with an outstanding 2:4, the Blues are back in business.

Pep Guardiola made two changes, returning Kevin de Brauna and Aymeric Laporte to the 11, at the expense of Julian Albers and Nathan Ake.

Wolves are coming off the back of a win over West Ham that gave them some breathing room in the relegation battle, but were knocked out of both the League Cup and FA Cup in the space of a week.

Pablo Sarabia who signed this week is waiting on the bench for a debut.

the progress of the game

Manchester City dominate the game from the start, but fail to create any threats on Se's goal between the posts at Wolves.

The aggressiveness on the part of the visitors stands out, when Max Kilman, Mario Lamina and also the coach Julen Lotegui received yellow cards within fifteen minutes.

In the 19th minute, a ball grab near the box ended with De Brauna finding Erling, but the Norwegian closed well and was stopped by Se.

After 10 minutes, Grealish tried to score from outside the box, but he was also stopped by Se.

In the 40th minute, the dam was broken when De Brauna was left without cover on the right, picked up a precise ball and Holland hit his 23rd goal of the season from the penalty area.

Even before the half Grealish squeezed a big save from Mesa, 0:1 to Citizens at the break.

The second half opened with a storm and with another goal by Holland in the 50th minute, after Neves tripped Gondwan in the area, the Norwegian said thanks and made it 0:2 from 11 meters.

Four minutes passed and Holland had already completed a hat-trick, his fourth in 11 games this season at Etihad, this time thanks to a pass from Mahrez who received the ball from Mesa, left him in front of an empty net and left him only to roll it into the net.

In the 61st minute, Holland received applause when he was replaced by Albers.
