Many events have animated the halls and grounds of the Paris region since Friday evening. We invite you to come back to

Like every end of the weekend, "Le Parisien" looks back on all the results and highlights of sporting events involving clubs in the Île-de-France region.

Disillusionment: Paris Basket collapses at the Accor Arena

BASKETBALL.

In front of 10,000 people, in an exceptionally competitive match at the Accor Arena, Paris Basketball long believed it could win against ASVEL.

Carried by the crowd, Will Weaver's players tied for three quarters with the French champion, but finally gave in (69-86), despite Tyrone Wallace's 21 points (in 35 minutes).

Sinking in the last act, where they conceded a crippling 24-12, the Parisians saw their series of four consecutive victories in the league come to an end.

In the classification of the Betclic Elite, they remain in 11th place and give air to their executioners of the evening.

The relapse: Nanterre sinks against Dijon

BASKETBALL.

The brightening was short-lived.

A week after his success on the Limoges floor, Nanterre relapsed when receiving JDA Dijon on Saturday at home.

Defeated 68-88, the Parisians took a shine from the first two quarters, until conceding 20 points behind at the break.

A gap that they will never be able to reduce.

Frustrating 20-point loss to a fine Dijon team.

New great performance from the duo Miralem / Benjamin.

👏 See you next Saturday for the reception of @ESSMbasket pic.twitter.com/w8S326sZ9Z

Faced with a fiery David Holston, the Nanterriens could not do anything, amputated from their many injuries.

Only Benjamin Sene (16 points) and Miralem Halilovic (15 points) passed the bar of 10 units.

Too little to believe in the final success.

Nanterre is struggling to move away from the red zone and finds itself 13th in the Betclic Elite standings with only one victory more than the penultimate.

Logic respected: Paris overthrown by Tours

VOLLEYBALL.

The Parisians were on track to play a nasty trick on the leader of Ligue A volleyball.

While their opponent had already lost last week, the Parisians pocketed the first set.

But the Tourangeaux enforced their status as vice-champions of France to win in four sets (25-22, 19-25, 27-29, 21-25).

⭐️ CLASSICO ⭐️

Despite a raging 3-1 defeat in this classico against @ToursVolleyBall.

Paris does not have to be ashamed of its performance.

Our Parisians delivered an exceptional match.

See you next Saturday for the away game against @Spvb86!

This defeat combined with the success of Sète against Saint-Nazaire (3-0) pushes Paris Volley back to ninth position in the championship while only the first eight places qualify for the play-off phase.

Elimination: Racing took on water in Dublin

RUGBY.

To maintain its slim hopes of qualifying for the round of 16, Racing 92 was forced to achieve a feat in Dublin, on the lawn of Leinster, hitherto undefeated in the Champions Cup.

The Ile-de-France residents kept the flame alive for an hour, even taking the lead after returning from the locker room on a try from Christian Wade (48th).

Before completely collapsing, relieved by the Irish assaults (36-10).

After conceding four tries in the space of a quarter of an hour (six in the entire match), Laurent Travers' men therefore left the competition in the group stage, for the first time since 2017. They were donated to the Challenge Cup and will face the Johannesburg Lions.

The table: the Stade Français will host Lyon in April

The posters for the Challenge Cup round of 16 are now known.

If Racing will travel to South Africa, Stade Français will host the LOU in Jean-Bouin on the weekend of April 1 and 2.

The French stadium validated its qualification thanks to two bonus points won in Treviso on Saturday (35-32 defeat) thanks in particular to tries from Kylian Hamdaoui and Sekou Macalou.
