Erling Holland continues to break Premier League records.
Today (Sunday) the Norwegian star of Manchester City scored a hat-trick against Wolves and reached 25 goals in his first 19 games in the English league - and in half a season he scored more than the previous seven goalscorers.
In the 2018/19 season, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finished as the season's top scorers with 22 goals each, in 2019/20 Jamie Vardy was crowned top scorer with 23, in 2020/21 Harry Kane scored 23 times and finished at the top And last season again there were two kings of goals, Mohamed Salah and Yong Min Son who also scored 23 goals.
They all did it in a whole season, Holland did it after 20 games for Manchester City, of which he participated in 19.
The record of goals for an entire season, we will recall, belongs to Andy Cole and Alan Shearer - 34, in the first years of the Premier League.
At this rate, it can only be assumed that Holland will break this record before long.

But that's not all.
Holland celebrated a fourth hat trick this season at home, in only 11 games.
Only Alan Shearer has scored more hat-tricks in one Premier League season (5).
Throughout his career, he already has no less than 16 hat-tricks.
By comparison, the player who needed the fewest Premier League games to reach four hat-tricks was Rod van Nisteluri, with 65. The Norwegian did it in just 19 (!).
Holland also reached 18 goals in 11 home games at the Etihad Stadium and managed to overtake Sergio Aguero, the Argentinian who did it in the 2011/12 season, and reached 23 goals but only in his 34th game of that season, the memorable goal in the final round that set 2 3: on Queens Park Rangers and secured a dramatic and first championship of the Citizens in the new era.
