On the track, Lulu Jones was a symbol of success and determination and always looked shiny and glamorous, even though she never won an Olympic medal.
Despite the difficult circumstances of her life, she became a famous runner, won many titles and fame in the world - but it turns out that throughout her life she had problems in relationships and difficulties in finding a partner, partly due to her public declaration that she was a virgin.
Jones was one of the most accomplished hurdlers in the world.
Although she did not win an Olympic medal, although she participated in London and Beijing (in one of them she already led in the final, but stumbled before the finish from the hurdle), but she won three gold medals in world championships (she calls herself the "Charles Barkley of athletics").
Throughout her impressive career spanning decades, the devout Christian athlete, now 40, has been very open about her decision to wait until marriage to have sex - and now she's wondering if her honesty about it ruined her chances of finding the one.

Jones, who also switched from athletics to ice luge racing, first revealed she was a virgin in 2012, just before she left for London for her second round at the Olympics, explaining in an interview at the time that she wanted to keep herself as a "gift" to her husband.
Since then she spent over a decade trying to find a partner and suffered many heartbreaks along the way.
Recently, she even revealed that in recent years she received threats from three different men who followed her, threatened her and harmed her personal safety and that of her friends and even "changed her life".
When she first talked about the decision to keep her virginity, she explained it and said that her decision stems from her strong religious faith, as well as from the effect that her parents' stormy relationship had on her - they never married, gave birth to five children together and separated in a difficult separation in her youth, as a result of which she spent most of her childhood in my life in poverty with her single mother.

According to her, her revelation that she was a virgin not only kept men away from her and made it difficult for her - she also detailed how she suffered teasing and public shaming - just because she decided to avoid premarital sex.
She says that she is called a "worn out old woman" and that she must already "start giving."
Now she says that she has already given up hope of finding love and a partner, but is still determined to start a family - which is why she began the process of IVF by freezing eggs last year.
According to her, "finding a partner is more difficult than reaching the Olympics", and even claims that quite a few men have promised her that "having sex will improve her athletic abilities".
"When I was 22, 24, it was cute," she said, "but at the age of 24 to 29, it's not cute. You get judged a lot, a lot of guys won't call you back after they find out."
In what she said she admitted that her openness about being a virgin was a "mistake" that "killed" her dating life.
"Before that at least I had a chance, I had a chance, after that it was already over," she said, since everyone knew in advance her "secret" and her decision.

It's always the same story, you constantly have to compromise... one guy is a Christian and one isn't.
One guy is a workaholic and the other lacks motivation.

"Tonight I blocked the guy I've been talking to for eight months. My heart just couldn't take it anymore," she wrote on Instagram.

In a follow-up post, Lulu talked more about the enormous pressure she feels and wrote: Being a woman is hard.
We are very aware of our "biological clock" ticking... I have been on dates with guys who ask me if I can even have children at my age, as if my value is only if I can provide them with a child one day.
To be fair, you never know.
"They teased me, shamed me, criticized me, told me to adopt instead of getting pregnant, nasty trolls from the internet called me dehydrated and barren... No one should be ashamed for taking the time to understand who their life partner is."
