The details surrounding the arrest of Dani Alves continue to excite the media in Spain and Brazil, when one of the famous footballers of the previous decade spent already a second night in the detention center in Barcelona because he is suspected of raping a 23-year-old young woman in a night club.
The Brazilian soccer player came to Spain to attend the funeral of his wife's mother, and was supposed to return to Mexico soon, hoping to play as early as today (Sunday) in the uniform of his Pumas team, but the police arrested him and the judge refused to release him and allow him to leave for fear that he would not return - against the background of the complainant's testimony and the evidence with the biological confirmation of the alleged rape.

The events, for which Alves could face a prison sentence of between 4 and 12 years, allegedly took place on December 30, at a club in Barcelona.
In the VIP area he met a girl and invited her and her friends to his and his friends' table.
At first he introduced himself as "Danny Alves, a local petanque player", but his friends clarified the truth to her and that in fact he is a famous footballer, since she did not know him and had not heard of him.
According to her testimony, they danced together and he put her hand on his penis several times, and she rejected him.
The Brazilian then asked her to come with him to the side, and there he allegedly pushed her into a toilet and sexually assaulted her.
It was at 4:30 in the morning, when according to the reports in her testimony it was stated that the two "struggled physically, and he forcefully penetrated her body."
The first to leave the bathroom was Alves, who also hurried to leave the club with his friend.
The victim, on the other hand, looked for her friends, contacted the security guards immediately and reported the incident,
Alves had already disappeared, when the ambulance arrived to take her to the clinic at the hospital, where she underwent the tests for sexually assaulted women, which, among other things, looked for sperm remains in her body.
The clothes she wore became police evidence, since his fingerprint was found on them.
Alves returned to Mexico, where he stayed until last weekend, when he arrived in Spain for the funeral of his mother-in-law who passed away on Friday.
The judges determined that the complainant's testimony sounded reliable, beyond the evidence presented, while contradictions were found in Alves' testimony.
The Brazilian initially denied any relationship with the complainant, admitting to being at a club but insisting that "I don't know this woman", while security cameras proved they were together, and he was seen going in and out of a toilet where traces of his semen were found.
Considering this, and his financial ability to escape, the fact that he no longer has roots in Spain, that he is a Brazilian living in Mexico (countries with which Spain does not have an extradition agreement) - the judge decided to keep the actor in custody.

According to other reports, Alves barely eats in the detention center, received visits only from a doctor and a psychologist to whom he is obligated, rarely talks to those around him, and did not even take advantage of her phone call, which he is entitled to, since he apparently cannot remember by heart the phone numbers of his family members and his close friends.
