EV Moosburg wins at home against Pfronten, who is second in the national league relegation rounds, and keeps the relegation zone at bay.

Moosburg – EV Moosburg celebrated an enormously important 7:4 win against the Pfronten Falcons on Sunday.

A strong first third and a good performance over 60 minutes paved the way to an unchallenged home win.

In the table of the national league relegation round, the Isarstadt-based team moved up to third place and - what is even more important - the last three teams could not close the gap to the EVM despite victories at the weekend.

EV Moosburg: The first row of storms swirls

Coach Ben Doucet was extremely satisfied and praised his team, for whom Alexander Asen and Christian Seidlmayer, two well-known faces, appeared during the week after the somewhat surprising departures of Alexander Schardt and Marc Binder.

That quickly paid off, because it was Seidlmayer who equalized the lightning start of the guests by Thomas Böck (1st) with his goal (5th).

After that, the green and yellow took over the game.

In particular, the first line of attackers with Cedrick Chagnon, Stefan Groß and Benjamin Franz made the Pfronten defense work up a sweat and took advantage of their chances.

Franz scored the 2:1 lead (14th) and Groß converted a penalty shot with a backhand flick to make it 3:1 (16th).

Again Franz ensured the 4:1 (20th minute) before the first break.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

The hosts should have made everything clear in the second third, but a double advantage (28th) was not used and a shot by Jonas Seitz hit the post.

The EVM defense acted too carelessly, so goalkeeper Johannes Probst had to clarify a few times and ultimately conceded the second goal (33rd) by Thomas Böck.

Seidlmayer: "Today was a very important game for us"

But unlike in the last three games, the Green-Yellows had an immediate answer: Stefan Groß netted in the margin to make it 5:2 (34th).

But Pfronten had tasted blood, now attacked vehemently, conquered the target and reduced the deficit to 5:3 (36th) through Philipp Munz.

But only briefly, because Chagnon rounded half the guest defense and restored the old three-goal gap (38th).

Moosburg controlled the game in the third round and made things clear with the 7:3 (47 th ) through Lukas Majercik.

Pfronten marked the final score of 7:4 through Michael Linder (57th).

EVM returnee Chris Seidlmayer praised after the game: "The team played well today from the first to the last minute, without us dropping, even if we conceded a goal.

That was a very important game for us today.” BY JOSEF FUCHS
