The Russian Football Association and the European Union for the game “UEFA” agreed to cooperate with each other and hold a new meeting regarding the return of Russian national teams and teams to international competitions.
The RT website quoted the Russian Federation as saying in a statement today, after a working meeting with UEFA: “The main issue was the need to return Russian teams and clubs to participate in international competitions,” explaining that the parties agreed to conduct further consultations and follow-up contacts.
The Russian Federation also indicated that the next meeting will be face to face with the participation of representatives of the two federations and will be held next month.
And the “FIFA” and “UEFA” football associations announced in a joint statement on the 28th of last February that the Russian teams and clubs were suspended from all their championships until further notice due to the Russian special military operation in Ukraine.
