Belarusian Victoria Azarenka reached the quarter-finals of the Australian Open after defeating American Jessica Pegula.
Azarenka, ranked third in the world, needed an hour and 37 minutes to decide the outcome of the match in her favor and defeat Pegula with two clean sets, 6-4, 6-1.
Azarenka, 33, faces in the next round of the first of the four Grand Slam tournaments this year, Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the Wimbledon champion last year.
