She has finally arrived !

Having failed in World Cup events since the start of the season, French skiers won their first victory on Tuesday evening in Schladming (Austria), the temple of slalom.

At the end of a second round of great beauty, Clément Noël won the event, the first for more than a year in the World Cup, by dominating the race on the Planai.

Much more committed and precise than in the first round while taking more risks, the Olympic champion in Beijing also beat the Swiss Ramon Zenhaeusern (+ 0′'07) and the Norwegian Lucas Braathen (+ 0′'38).

In the lead after the first run, Henrik Kristoffersen cracked (11th).

The 25-year-old from Vosges recorded his 10th World Cup success in this discipline on this occasion.

A victory which revives him after a difficult start to the winter, marked by three track exits, a podium (3rd) in Garmisch (Germany) at the beginning of January, a 6th place in Wengen on a track in poor condition and an eighth on Sunday in Kitzbühel .

A very good omen before the World Ski Championships which will take place from Monday 6 to Sunday 19 February in Courchevel Méribel.

A year after his gold medal in slalom at the Beijing Olympics, Clément Noël will try to do the double on the French track.
