The Barcelona police are building a wide evidentiary base against Dani Alves, which according to all estimates in Spain, will lead to the filing of an indictment for sexual assault.
As you may remember, Alves is accused of sexually assaulting a 23-year-old woman in a nightclub in Barcelona last month, and for the past few days he has been in a detention center in Catalonia.
The evidence against Alves seems pretty solid.
The security cameras recorded him entering the bathroom where the alleged attack took place, and the evidence also presents a very problematic picture for him.
One of the security guards who was there at the time of the incident confirmed many details from the version of the victim, who immediately complained about Alves.
This morning in Spain it is being reported on another incriminating testimony against Alves, from one of the complainant's friends, who is considered an eyewitness in the case.
The same young woman told the police that she and her friends had encountered Alves in the past under similar circumstances, and that he had already attacked the complainant in the past.
According to her, he groped her in intimate areas using force, but she refused to complain at the time mainly out of concern and fear.

In Spain, they are convinced that the complainant's version is reliable, after she discovered a number of suspicious details in her investigation.
In her testimony to the police, she described a tattoo that Alves has on his body in the shape of a crescent moon.
According to her, the same tattoo found on Alves' stomach rubbed against her intimate areas during the forced sexual contact between them.
This detail supposedly betrays the fact that Alves gave a false version when he claimed that the complainant was the one who attacked him in the bathroom, and not the other way around.
Meanwhile, Alves' wife, Joanna Sans, does not hesitate to share with her followers on social media the difficult days she is going through.
Sans lost her mother, who died about a week before her partner's arrest, and admits that she is going through a personal crisis.

Yesterday she uploaded a video of herself for the first time since the publication of the case, in which she asked to thank for the support she receives.
In the message she recorded, she did not mention Alves' name and refused to support him.
"I wanted you all to see me and understand that I'm fine, because I see that many people are worried about me. I found a moment of silence in the midst of the storm I'm in, and I decided to say thank you to everyone who supports me. I received emotional and comforting messages, thank you!"
