Now the Swiss spoke up.
Schwyz – After her serious fall last Friday on the descent in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Corinne Suter became quiet.
Now the Swiss spoke for the first time on social media and gave an update on her injury.
This could have been much worse, as can be seen from the photos of the 28-year-old winter sports enthusiast.

Corinne Suter: Olympic champion from 2022 fell badly in Cortina d'Ampezzo
Suter had a moment of shock on the descent in the Dolomites, when she took off during her run and landed face first on the hard snow with full force and also landed on the inner ski.
She then slid into the safety net under the worried looks of her colleagues.
The woman from Schwyz, who won the gold medal in the downhill at the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2022, came out of the situation relatively unscathed, even if the consequences of the fall are still clearly visible.
Her face is still swollen from the impact, and her eye was also affected.

Corinne Suter reports after her fall: "Can't see much at the moment"
"Well that hurt," Suter wrote under the two photos, which clearly show the swelling on the left side of her face.
"I can't see much at the moment but luckily my body is fine.
Thank you everyone for the nice messages.
I'll be back," the ski star promises her fans.
She also captioned her Instagram post with a quote from Billy Graham, one of the most influential Christian preachers of the 20th century.
"The angels are closer than you think," she added under the post - probably alluding to her guardian angel, who saved her from a serious injury on Friday.

Corinne Suter: Even Lindsey Vonn sends recovery wishes – Kira Weidle also reports
Under her post, she received a lot of support from prominent colleagues.
"Nice that you're fine!
Rest,” wrote former star ski racer Lindsey Vonn from the USA.
Mélanie Meillard and her brother Loïc and Austrian Nicole Schmidhofer also sent recovery wishes.
"Get well soon" also wrote the German Kira Weidle under Suter's contribution.
As a result of her fall, the injured Swiss had to refrain from participating in the second descent last Saturday and in the Super-G on Sunday, but the World Championships should not be in danger.
This starts on February 6th in Courchevel and Méribel in the French Alps.
Then the swelling in the damaged face may have subsided.
