Danny Avdia received a shot of confidence from the trade that freed up minutes and responsibility for him, and continues to show improved ability.

Tonight (between Wednesday and Thursday) the Washington forward delivered a second double-double in a row in a 103:108 victory over Houston, and helped the Wizards record a fourth consecutive victory.

Avdia finished with 10 points (4 of 13 from the field, 1 of 4 from the three, 1 of 2 from the penalty), 10 rebounds and 3 assists in 30 minutes, and mostly seemed more relaxed and involved.

Avdia came off the bench in a storm and scored 7 points in a little over a minute, weakened a little on offense later in the game, but still signed several important moves on defense in the closing minutes, and mostly received extensive credit from coach Wes Anseld Jr.

"Danny played well today. He wasn't very accurate offensively, but he was very good defensively. He fills the void left by the Hachimura trade," they said on the "Locked On Wizards" podcast.

"Danny is more aggressive in the last few games. After this trade, he no longer has any excuses and in the last two games he lives up to expectations. Although he still has trouble scoring high percentages, his aggressiveness and confidence seem much better. That's what we want to see from him."

Something broke loose.

The reporter Brett Asher wrote in regards to the offensive involvement of the Israeli that "Danny Avdia plays like a point-forward", and that "it seems that something connected with him".

According to him, "He didn't have a particularly effective game, but I am very encouraged by the process he is going through."

Blogger Kevin Broom is also satisfied with the positive trend for the Israeli.

"Tommy Shepherd said the plan behind the trade for Hachimura was to give Danny freedom. It seems he wasn't lying," he wrote, and when asked about the resemblance between Avdia and Ben Simmons - a versatile forward with limited offensive abilities, he replied: "Maybe he's Ben Simmons in the light version. Simmons At his peak, he was a player at the level of one of the top five this season in the NBA. Avdia is very far from there."
