The next racist incident in Spain's La Liga and again Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior is the victim: before the Madrid city derby in the evening in the quarter-finals of the cup, a mannequin wearing a Brazilian shirt was hung on a bridge.
Spanish media took the action, which took place near Real's training ground and is suspected of being the Atlético Ultras, as a "racist attack" and "serious threat".
The slogan "Madrid hates Real" was also emblazoned on a banner that was attached to the bridge on Wednesday night.
Ultras from city rivals Atlético had already used this sentence in the past.
The police told AFP news agency that they were investigating the incident without giving further details.
Atlético itself condemned the events.
"Such actions are absolutely disgusting and inadmissible and shame society," said the fourth-placed player.
On Twitter, the Spanish league also spoke out against "the hateful actions against Vinicius".
The players' union AFE, human rights organizations and other bodies announced legal action.
Pro league boss Javier Tebas wrote on Twitter: "A message to those who seek refuge at night to commit hate crimes: we will find you, we will obtain convictions to put you in jail where you belong.
Enough now!"
Atlético fans had already made negative headlines at the derby in the league in September.
Camera footage showed supporters insulting Real's winger with racist chants.
However, in December the public prosecutor's office dropped the investigation because it was not possible to identify the culprits.
