TJ Klein signed with Hapoel Jerusalem: "Waiting to learn from a huge coach" | Israel today

The 28-year-old citizen, who played for Hapoel Holon and Maccabi Tel Aviv, is returning to Israel • Sporting director Yonatan Alon said: "TJ is a team player and a fighter and these are exactly the qualities we look for in players"


Hapoel Jerusalem officially announced this evening (Thursday) the signing of TJ Klein (28, 2.06) until the end of the season.

Klein, a graduate of Richmond College, is known to hold Israeli citizenship and will join the team's training soon.

Klein began his career in Europe with Galatasaray, and then played for 3 seasons in Hapoel Holon.

He started the 2020 season in Brescia and then joined Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Last season, Klein played for Washington's development team in the G League, and averaged 10 points and 3.7 rebounds in 17 minutes per night.

Klein also made four appearances for the Israeli national team in the 2017 MundoBasket qualifiers and the 2020 EuroBasket qualifiers.

Sports director Jonathan Alon said: "We had the opportunity to sign TJ and strengthen the team. TJ is a team player and a fighter and these are exactly the qualities we are looking for in players. We are happy that we were able to add him to us, he will help us move forward and improve."
