Summary of the King's Cup: Real Madrid - Atletico Madrid 1:3 (Sport 1)
The Madrid derby last night (Thursday) in the quarterfinals of the King's Cup, once again illustrated the differences in levels between Real and Atlético.
The Blancos came to the game a little lethargic and smug, falling behind in the first half, but as soon as they woke up - the derby was decided.
It ended with a 1:3 victory in extra time, and maintaining Real's incredible streak of nearly seven years without a loss against the city rival at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Albero Morata scored first in the 19th minute, Rodrigo Bagolaso equalized (79), and in overtime Karim Benzema (104) and Vinicius (120+1) completed the turnaround, with the latter getting sweet revenge after the stormy days that passed him.
Whether it's his fault or not - Vinicius is suffering this season from teasing and friction with fans of many teams.
The climax came yesterday, when Atlético fans hung a doll in his image in the city center and raised the spirits before the game.
After the goal that sealed the victory, the Brazilian celebrated demonstratively in front of the Atlético fans, and did not hesitate to sting them on social media as well when he wrote on Instagram: "There is only one team in Madrid."
"As always, Vinny was focused on the game. He just wants to play football, and enjoy it. What happened before the game was very unfortunate, but he put it behind him," Carlo Ancelotti praised him.
Danny Sabaios added: "Vinicius is our big star and we must protect him and support him. We have a lot of love and respect for him."

Sabaios himself has become the unexpected hero of Real in the last two weeks, after becoming Ancelotti's rabbit from the bench.
Also yesterday Sabaios recorded a fantastic ability after coming off the bench in the second half, and was chosen as the outstanding player in "Marka".
"Sabayos changed the game and gave Real Madrid the spark it was missing," it said.
"These are my happiest two weeks since I joined Real Madrid," Sabaios admitted at the end.
"I have reached a certain maturity, and I manage to maintain continuity. Now I have to keep my head down and continue exactly the same way."
Rodrigo, who scored a spectacular solo goal, was injured and replaced.
At the end I informed you that it is probably a minor injury, although Real will wait for the results of the tests he will conduct today.
And on the other side, Atlético had no choice but to complain about the referees.
Diego Simeone, who received teasing from the Real fans throughout the game, and even heard them sarcastically sing "Stay" at him at the end, was furious at the end of referee Cesar Soto, who decided to send off Stefan Savic with a second yellow but avoided doing so for a similar offense by Dani Sabaios.
"I told the judge that the next time he judges us, I'm not going to appear," Simeone said at the end.
"He said that Alvaro Morata falls in a theatrical way, but today I had to replace him because he was injured from a blow he received."
