Espionage case at PSG: Tayeb Benabderrahmane filed a request to cancel the procedure

The case of "barbouzeries" at PSG is experiencing a new episode.

Indicted on September 29 for "forgery and use of forgery", "corruption", "concealment and complicity in misappropriation of the purpose of a file", and suspected of having blackmailed the president of the Parisian club, Nasser Al- Khelaïfi, the Franco-Algerian lobbyist Tayeb Benabderrahmane had assured that he was a victim at the heart of a “State scandal”… This Friday, his lawyers announced to AFP that they had filed with the Paris Court of Appeal “a motion for annulment of the entire procedure "based on confidential leaks for the benefit of PSG.

Messrs Romain Ruiz and Gabriel Vejnar denounce a procedure “having enabled DGSI investigators to carry out intelligence operations by means of a judicial procedure”.

"It also covers several nullities relating to the investigation framework used as well as the illicit seizure of documents covered by professional secrecy", exchanges between the person concerned and his wife or his lawyers, or letters from lawyers, either "a new cut to the absolute professional secrecy of the lawyer", they add.

Not examined for several months

Tayeb Benabderrahmane also requests the cancellation of his indictment.

“He disputes his involvement in these facts (…) and deplores the considerable violation of the secrecy of the investigation, which fuels an unacceptable campaign of denigration and defamation”, resume his two councils.

The investigating chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal should not examine his request for several months,

The intermediary had filed two complaints in August: one for torture, arrest and kidnapping, where he pointed to his imprisonment in Qatar, and the other for extortion and witness tampering, where he targeted his former lawyers, having worked to the signing of a protocol with Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, denounced today as "unfair".
