Only in October of the past year, Miri Shalu was appointed chairwoman of the Israel Handball Association, and last night she announced her resignation in what was defined by senior officials of the union: "as a lack of compatibility and lack of cooperation between the chairwoman and the members of the union."
The handball association, which is known for its heated debates and amateurish management, happily accepted Shalu's entry into the position, as the one who served as the CEO of the Otzma Center.
Shelu tried to introduce changes, but like many others who tried to change Israeli handball, she also realized that there was no chance and what happened was what would happen, and it wasn't much and hurried to quit her job.
The candidate to replace her in the position, at least until another name is found, is Shai Simon, one of the top and most popular players in Israeli handball who already knows the personalities working in the industry.
