The Israel Taekwondo Championship was held today (Friday) at the Malcha Basketball Hall in Jerusalem, with the participation of hundreds of fighters and in the presence and patronage of the Mayor of Jerusalem, Mr. Moshe Leon.

Hundreds of boys and girls took part in the competition alongside the adult competitions and enjoyed an invested Taekwondo event, and watching the stars of the sport when later the Israel Championship for Veterans was also held.
The Mayor of Jerusalem, Mr. Moshe Leon, congratulated all the participants and spectators, and wished success to all the fighters of the industry in the competition and the rest of the way.
Mr. Leon presented medals to medalists and met with the athletes, including Tokyo 2020 Olympic medalist Avishag Samberg.
The event was also honored and awarded medals by the deputy mayor and holder of the sports portfolio, Mr. Elisha Peleg, the deputy head of the director of sports, Mr. Hanan Danziger, the CEO of the Olympic Committee, Mr. Gili Lustig, the director of the Sports Achievements Unit, Mr. Danny Oren, and other dignitaries.
