The Israel Gymnastics Association was chosen today (Saturday) to host the European Championships in apparatus gymnastics, which will take place in May/June 2025. During the last weekend, a delegation from the Israel Gymnastics Association went to a conference in Lausanne, Switzerland, during which the union proposed a candidacy to host the European Championships in apparatus gymnastics in 2025.
After an impressive presentation and in light of the Gymnastics Association's glorious reputation for hosting major international competitions and events, today, the European Gymnastics Association chose Israel as the host country for this prestigious competition.
In recent years, the Israel Gymnastics Association has been privileged to host a number of prestigious and central competitions in the industry: the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships in June 2022, during which the Israeli national team, led by coach Ayelet Zussman and the coaching staff, won impressive achievements;
European Championship in Artistic Gymnastics in Holon in 2016, Grand Prix in Artistic Gymnastics 2021, European Championship in Acrobatics
Avi Sagi, Chairman of the Gymnastics Association: "During the past few years in which we have hosted major competitions, we have demonstrated time and time again a phenomenal organizational ability that has received many praises from the International Association and from various countries that have hosted here. We are proud and happy that we have been chosen to do this again and we are full of anticipation for it There is no doubt that any such competition held in Israel places us in the center of the map and, in addition, is a great opportunity for the Israeli audience to come enjoy this beautiful sport and encourage the Israeli competitors. We are sure that we will receive the support of the sports administration for this event, similar to the support we received in the past when we hosted competitions in Israel, for the benefit of making it of Israel to a sports power".
