A disastrous series for the defending champion.
Olivier Giroud's AC Milan lost heavily on his lawn (2-5), Sunday, against the poorly ranked Sassuolo, during the 20th day of Serie A. The Lombards now point to 4th place in the ranking (behind Naples, Inter Milan and Atalanta Bergamo) when they had the opportunity, in the event of victory, to regain 2nd place.

Despite a goal from Olivier Giroud, the Rossoneri still took a hell of a slap.
Again because it is the third consecutive loss and the sixth game without a win in all competitions.
Before Sassuolo, yet 16th in Serie A, Milan lost 3-0 in the Italian Super Cup final against Inter, then 4-0 against Lazio Rome in the league.
Counter-performances which now place the Milanese 12 points behind Napoli, leader of Serie A, and which somewhat focus criticism on a coach who until then has been praised Stfano Pioli.
In the lair of the Rossoneri no longer resonates “Pioli's on fire” but rather “Pioli's in ferie”, understand “Pioli is on vacation”.
The reaction will have to intervene quickly because the next opponent who stands in front of Milan is none other than his best enemy Inter, from Sunday February 5.
