An ongoing nightmare.
It is simply unbelievable what Milan is going through.
From a team that fought with Napoli for the championship until a few rounds ago, to a team that could lose the fourth place, which leads to the Champions League.
Today (Sunday) the Rossoneri suffered a third defeat in a row, this time 5:2 at the home of lowly Masaolo from the bottom.
The flurry of goals started in the 19th minute, when Gregor Defrel put the guest in the lead, 11 minutes after Olivier Giroud's goal was disallowed for offside.
Davide Pratsi (22) doubled on the other side, and Giroud clinched after two minutes.
Six minutes were enough for Sassuolo to put the third, with a goal by Domenico Berardi.
In the second half, Armand Laurenti (47) scored Sassuolo's fourth, another Milan goal and Ante Ravic was disallowed (54) and Mateus Henrique (79) nailed the fifth.
Two minutes later Dibuk Origi stuck a ball into the crossbar and shrunk to 5:2, but it really didn't comfort Milan, who have conceded 12 goals in three games and seem to be in a lot of trouble.
Next Sunday, a huge derby awaits Milan against Inter, who, as I recall, defeated the Rossoneri in the final of the Italian Super Cup not long ago 0:3.
There is no doubt that recovery in such a game will be much more difficult.
