Juan Pablo Colinas is returning for a second term at Maccabi Tel Aviv after the 44-year-old Spaniard, who made 100 appearances at the club, was appointed tonight (Monday) as the goalkeeping coach at the club.
Juan Pablo joined Maccabi as a goalkeeper in the summer of 2013, qualified for the last 32 of the Europa League and won the championship at the end of the season.
The following year, Juan Pablo was part of the historic treble win when in the 2015/16 season he helped Maccabi qualify for the group stage of the Champions League before returning to Spain to play for Numancia.
After another year in which he played for the Cypriot club AAK Larnaca, Juan Pablo announced his retirement from active play and began a coaching career as a goalkeeper coach at Sporting Gihon.
Maccabi Tel Aviv said: "The club thanks Shura Obarov who temporarily served as the goalkeeper coach, Shura will return to his position in the youth department."
