About a month and a half have passed since the Argentine national team lifted the World Cup for the third time in its history, at the end of one of the craziest finals in the history of the World Cup.
Albiceleste lost a double advantage and conceded once more in the 118th minute in a 3:3 with France, but won 2:4 in the penalty shootout and fulfilled Lionel Messi, who scored a brace in the final, the last remaining dream of his career.
For the first time since the tournament in Qatar, Messi was interviewed in Argentina by local journalist Andy Kuzenzoff and told about the magic journey on the way to the cup: "In all the games we were better than the opponent because we knew what we had to do in each game. The team prepared us very well. I am still excited by videos of people celebrating the victory . Did I watch the final again? I saw summaries and moves, but not the full game."

Messi was asked what he would say if he could talk to the 16-year-old Messi, and he replied: "I would tell him that something special awaits him. One of Argentina's turbulent moments in the tournament occurred in the quarter-finals, where the team also passed a European opponent in a shootout from the penalty spot - the Netherlands.

This incident also became viral and the sentence was even printed on shirts in Argentina, but Messi himself seems to regret the incident: "This celebration came out of me naturally. I don't like to leave such an impression, but that's what came out of me. Players told me Van Gaal said before the game, There was a lot of tension and everything happened very quickly. I don't like the way I behaved, I don't like the fact that I told Wachhorst to 'go away'."
The new world champion did not forget the previous Argentinian hero who did it before him, Diego Maradona, who was not there to celebrate with his successor: "If Diego was there he would have given me the trophy, it would have been a very beautiful picture."
