Ange Capuozzo finishes the job

In the first half, the absence of an X factor on the Toulouse side was felt.

But after Guillaume Cramont's first try, the three-quarters of Toulouse found inspiration in the wake of an excellent Ange Capuozzo.

The Italian international scored the second try of the game after being launched in the meantime by Mallia (67th).

Then the former Grenoble player, the good angel that he is, flies away, literally, to register the offensive bonus try and seal the fate of the match.

The bench changed everything

It was around the 47th minute that the match changed.

The moment when Ugo Mola decided to bring in the living forces.

Emmanuel Meafou, François Cros, called by Fabien Galthié and Jack Willis come into play. The latter, omnipresent, was first noticed by a magnificent breakthrough.

Then he gives Cramont a try and scratches two balloons.

The colossus Meafou has constantly put the MHR on the back foot with destructive charges.

Toulouse is missing people, but still!

The joy of Mallia at the top, Capuozzo, ball in hand and Lebel on the right.

FLOPS

Montpellier explodes in the second half

Philippe Saint-André's men were six points ahead of Toulouse after returning from the locker room.

Despite an iron defense in the first period, the Cistes then exploded against the power of Toulouse.

Jan Serfontein first took a card before his friend from the center of the attack Thomas Darmon also received a cracker.

The Montpellier then scored no points and even conceded a 14-0 in the second half.

Too bad after the efforts made during the first act.

Mallia blows hot and cold

The task was not easy for Juan Cruz Mallia.

The versatile rear or winger was today promoted to the position of opener – after the absences of Ntamack, Ramos or Nanaï-Williams – associated with Martin Page-Relo.

The player played his role by being present defensively, ensuring 8 points on foot and being the decisive passer on the second try.

But the Argentinian also experienced waste in his game with a missed foot pass (35th), an avoidable forward (14th) and three failures against the poles.
