The Chairman of the Football Association, Shino Zwartz, met yesterday (Monday) in Switzerland with the President of UEFA Alexander Ceferin.
The meeting was also attended by Zoran Lakovitch, the person responsible for the associations in UEFA, and Avi Levy, the vice president of the association.
"The president of UEFA is one of the biggest supporters of Israeli football and I am happy to return and cooperate with him in the coming years.
The president promised that he would come to Israel during the coming year, probably in September, and made it clear that he would assist me in promoting soccer in general and women's soccer in particular," Zoertz said.
Zwartz also said: "In the near future, Nadine Kessler, who is responsible for the field at UEFA, will come to us, in order to build a strategic plan for the industry, which I believe so much in its tremendous potential. The development of football among children and teenagers is another key issue that we have dealt with and the president will help in an even better connection Between us and leading European associations in the field and in building beneficial and promoting collaborations. I also emphasized to the UEFA president our great desire as a country and as an association to host the conference league finals in the next year or two and his answer will give me great confidence."
