Women's PSG: coveted by Chelsea, Diani remains a priority for Paris

At the end of the contract next June, the best Parisian player of the season receives solicitations from abroad. But the PSG wishes

The Kadidiatou Diani file will animate the next few months in Paris.

PSG's best player and top scorer in the absence of Marie-Antoinette Katoto, the 27-year-old striker is out of contract next June after six seasons in the capital.

To date, the French international (80 selections) does not know where she will evolve next year, having not extended with Paris and having committed nowhere else.

As announced by AFP on Monday, the Chelsea Blues have positioned themselves as serious candidates to welcome Diani.

The one who has scored 21 goals in 21 games in all competitions with PSG this season has received a contract offer from the English club, in the fight for the Super League title with Arsenal or Manchester United.

A concrete approach that the player welcomes with interest without rushing.

As with the Marie-Antoinette Katoto case last year, time remains "Kadi's" best ally in order to obtain, on the one hand, the best possible lease and, on the other, to ensure sufficient sporting conditions to win securities.

On these two points, PSG knows that it has fallen behind and would have liked to position itself much earlier.

But the management of the club still considers itself able to retain Diani.

His relationship with the striker is good and talks will continue in the coming weeks.

A very active winter transfer window

The example of Katoto and a very late signing (in July, several days after the end of the previous contract) is enough to reassure PSG.

The women's football market still has the particularity of offering shorter contracts than for men (two or three seasons compared to four or five or even more) and with extensions that are concluded at the last moment.

PSG have given a boost to their winter transfer window in recent days with the arrival of Jamaican Allyson Swaby in defense and young American Korbin Albert in midfield.

They succeed the Danish Amalie Vangsgaard, who came to reinforce the Parisian attack.

Among the departures: Australian goalkeeper Lydia Williams (goalkeeper) joined Brighton, defender Bénédicte Simon was transferred to Juventus, midfielder Magnaba Folquet was loaned to Fleury and side Estelle Cascarino loaned to Manchester United.
