After landing early in the morning (Wednesday) in Israel, striker Fred Friday arrived at the Beitar Jerusalem football club offices and signed his contract with the team. The 27-year-old Friday will play in Beitar until the end of the current season, and his contract has an option to extend the contract for another season.
Friday, who is considered a very physical and fast player, will add quite a bit to Beitar's attack, which until now has been based on Ion Nicolescu and Danilo Asperia, who tear up nets.
The striker, who came from the Norwegian league and also played in the Netherlands, is Beitar's fifth signing in the current transfer window. He joins Tamir Adi (returned after half a season in Kiryat Shmona), Sergey Borodin, Miguel Silva and Gregory Morzov.
