After the imbroglio around an exchange of documents between Chelsea and PSG on Tuesday evening, the Professional Football League (LFP), meeting this Wednesday morning, did not validate the transaction and the loan without an option to buy Ziyech , announces AFP.
According to PSG, several errors were made by Chelsea in sending the necessary documents on Tuesday evening.
The 2022-2023 winter transfer window ended at 11 p.m., time in mainland France.
Paris did not have time to send Ziyech's contract before this deadline to the LFP.
Which also blocked another file: the loan of Ismaël Gharbi to OGC Nice.
The 18-year-old midfielder had yet signed with the Riviera club for a six-month loan with no option to buy.
But, wanting to ensure Ziyech's arrival, PSG delayed sending the documents to OGC Nice, which was unable to register this loan in time.
