Antonio Conte will take a break to recover after having surgery on Wednesday.
Tottenham have announced that the coach will have his gallbladder removed.
“Antonio Conte has recently been bothered by acute abdominal pain.
After he was diagnosed with cholecystitis (inflammation of the gallbladder), he will be operated on today to remove the gallbladder,” the London club said in a statement.
Antonio Conte recently became unwell with severe abdominal pain.
Following a diagnosis of cholecystitis, he will be undergoing surgery to remove his gallbladder today and will return following a period of recuperation.

The Italian "will return after a period of convalescence" added the Spurs without specifying a return period.
Without his transalpine coach, Tottenham will have to revive after a complicated post-World Cup recovery.
In the league, Hugo Lloris' teammates have won only twice in five games.
They lost to Arsenal and Aston Villa 2-0.
Conte had even summoned his players and staff for a meeting.
