Ben Shaher is not getting minutes in the Maccabi Haifa uniform this season and this evening (Thursday) he uploaded a story on the Instagram network in which he explained why he did not leave for another team in the winter transfer window.
"Throughout all the years of my career my top goal was always to be on the field as much as possible.
The transfer window is over and I am staying at Maccabi Haifa.
It's no secret that in this window I really wanted to go and play football, in the last months I've been working like crazy and I was ready to make a lot of concessions for that.
I hear a lot that the question arises as to why I decided to stay at Maccabi Haifa, that maybe my decision-making is based on a financial reason.
So it's important for me to clarify, throughout all the years of my career my top goal was always to be on the field as much as possible.
A few weeks ago I had a few groups available to attend, at that point in time I felt sensitivity in my leg that did not allow me to train properly and feel 100 percent and on the advice of doctors I should have rested and taken care of myself.
It was important to me to be true to myself and listen to my body, and also not to hurt the groups that wanted to, so I didn't continue the conversations with them.
Thank God I feel much better and will be back training soon.
I will always continue to be hungry for football and work as hard as possible.
I have learned more than once that what needs to happen just happens and everything is for the best, just health for everyone."
