The life of any footballer can be volatile in the blink of an eye.

Ask Idan Vared, who in the summer of 2021 became the star of Hapoel Tel Aviv, was hoisted in the air by the fans, but yesterday (Wednesday) he already found himself leaving the Khodorov Complex, and going down to the National League.

This, after in the current half of the season he recorded only 230 minutes in the red uniform.

Vared's story begins in the summer.

The management of Hapoel Tel Aviv wanted to be released from the veteran midfielder's contract at any cost. Omer Buxenbaum, who was the professional manager at the time, spoke to him, the messages from the management arrived, but the player thought that it might be possible otherwise. "In the summer they came to me and told me we want you to leave because the contract is heavy." According to Vared in a special interview with Israel Hayom, "I told them 'I like it here' and I agreed to deduct from my money"

How would you summarize your year and a half at Hapoel Tel Aviv?

"I had a lot of fun the first year, I had fun being part of the club, the crowd, I played most of the season and we almost finished in Europe. Instead of continuing what we did last season and competing for 3-4 place, they did a liquidation sale in the summer and cleaned all the skeleton from last season.

"I saw the squad that was built and I was sure that I would play after giving up some money, but it didn't happen. It's funny that in August I played some 220 minutes. Once they let me play against Hapoel Haifa and everyone said how he hadn't played until now and from now on he will be the team's player. In practice Since then I've only played a few minutes. There are players who are able to sit out because they're in a big club and in the Premier League, but I personally can't, I've been a team player in the Premier League for 17 years, and I have to play."

Did the whole situation affect you personally?

"When you come home after you don't play and there are games where you're not in the squad it's hard, I became turned off. I'm not at the age where I have to constantly wait that maybe I'll be allowed to play and maybe not, on the contrary, I'm at the age where I have to enjoy myself, so I went with my heart, leading the Hapoel Petah Tikva, and to do what I love most all my life."

How do you explain that three coaches didn't let you play?

"Before Kobi Merafa left, he told me, 'I was wrong about you, you are the best here.' opportunity, and then I realized that it was simply enough, because I also gave up money, I also gave every practice 100 percent and I didn't make faces and I still don't play, so I realized that it wasn't something professional. If I had been given a chance and failed I would have said perfectly fine, but we didn't even give I have a chance to fail. I understood the situation and decided to part ways and not in bad blood."

Believes in promotion to the Premier League,

Maybe you should have turned the tables a bit?

"A lot of people told me why you don't interview, why you don't make a mess, but that's not my way. My whole career I've been the same and I won't change for someone else or because the other side behaves or thinks differently. I don't send associates, agents or My family, if I have something to say I say it. I had one thing in mind and that was to be good every minute in training and beyond that it wasn't up to me."

What is the most difficult moment that Hapoel Tel Aviv went through this season?

"As soon as three coaches change halfway through the season, a professional manager who leaves, players who come and go endlessly, you realize that there is something here that is not healthy. There was a sense of confusion and instability, there were foreigners who had already trained and suddenly flew back. We lost 6:0 per week, 5:2 to Maccabi Haifa, we flew against Afula in the cup, all season near the red line, three coaches, a professional manager who is leaving, all kinds of things that don't happen every season and especially not in half a season.

But actually the dressing room was unified.

And yet I don't think there is a film that the Hapoel will be relegated this year."

And now the goal is to move up to the league with Hapoel PAT?

"I don't really know the National League, I've never been there, and I was told that it's going to be difficult, but Hapoel Petah Tikva is a huge club with a huge crowd that should be in the Premier League, I'll do everything to make it happen. Bring back Hapoel Petah Tikva The Premier League is now my life's mission.

I had several offers from the Premier League, but I wanted to come and lead a project and Hapoel PAT is a special club."
