After parting ways with Valladolid and amid reports that he clashed with the club's staff, Shawn Weissman was introduced this evening (Thursday) to Granada, his new team.
The striker who was an essential part of the rise of the purples did not get enough opportunities this year and returned to the second division in Spain in a loan deal and they will buy him for 3 million euros if they manage to qualify with him for the top league.
"I'm very happy to be here and I can't wait to play in front of the crowd," Weissman said in his presentation, "I had a few more offers, but it was important for me to get to the place they wanted me. I heard about the project and I liked it. It's a big club with a lot of history and I'm here to To do everything for the cause. I thank the Valladolid fans, two and a half years there is quite a long time. They loved me and I loved them."
