Single, who was born in 1938 in Argentina and played for the youth team of San Lorenzo, immigrated to Israel in 1958, worked at Kibbutz Beit HaSheta and was called to help Hapoel Afula in the underground struggles under a fake name because he did not have one League card.
Hapoel Jerusalem was quick to add him to its ranks and in a short time he became the team's star along with Eli Ben Rimoush.

Single tried to play in the Australian league, with the Melbourne team, but already in 1965, after one season, he returned to Hapoel Jerusalem, where he played until 1975. Eli Levy: "I played with a single, a player and a gentleman who turned Hapoel Le Jerusalem into a respected team in Israeli football. At the time, he saved the team from relegation and at the age of 38 lifted the state cup."
