Real Madrid arrived this evening (Thursday) for a home game at the Santiago Bernabeu against Valencia, knowing that losing points is out of the question, as Barcelona lead them in the table with a gap of 8 points.
After the draw against Sociedad in the previous round, Ancelotti started this time in the lineup with Marcos Asensio and Toni Kroos, but in the first half the Blancos had a hard time and could not find the back of the net.
Until the 52nd minute, there were 3 minutes of magic in which the champion of Spain managed to score twice and decide the game.
First it was Asensio who returned Ancelotti's trust and fired a shot from outside the box, and 2 minutes later Vinicius Jr. kicked in after a nice personal move.
Karim Benzema has signed an assist in both of these goals.
Paulista from Valencia was sent off in the 72nd minute and ended his team's chances.
In the end, an important victory 0:2 for Real that reduces its gap with Barcelona to five points, before its meeting on Sunday with Mallorca.
