Following on from the issue about a week ago at the opening of the Premier League match between Maccabi Tel Aviv in football against Maccabi Haifa, when the teams were fined for delaying a ceremony for children with disabilities from the Ilan association (Israeli Association for Injured Children).
Next night there will be another match of Maccabi Tel Aviv against Bnei Sakhnin, in which the players will again be accompanied by the children of the association.
CEO of the ILAN association, Orit Ilon-Friedman:
"Children and adults with physical disabilities want, just like people without disabilities, to enjoy independence, to take part in cultural and sports events.
The association welcomes the warm embrace of the Maccabi Tel-Aviv club in soccer for Ilan children and family members.
The Ilan association provides a wide support package for integrating children and adults with physical disabilities into society and living independently in the community, since 1952, with the outbreak of the polio virus (polio).
